I’ve always been more interested in how people do the things they do than the actual things themselves.
For example, when reading a fiction book, or a movie all I can say to myself is ‘Wow how did someone come up with this incredible idea?’
How were they able to build this whole world, and have it be so coherent with so many details all at once?
What was Jeff Bezos thinking when he started Amazon?
What was Steve Jobs thinking when he started Apple?
How did they start? How can I start?
You see, I believe that we are all capable of doing the same things. We are all the same, we are made of the same things, and our ideas, thoughts, and actions are what separate us.
It’s the intangible aspect of our being that makes us unique. What we have in common is our physical aspects, but even that is unique to each of us.
Isn’t it crazy to think that there are so many people, yet not one of us looks the same? Not even identical twins are the same. There are infinite possibilities in everything.
There’s so much to do. So much hasn’t been done yet, we’ve barely scratched the surface.
Other people’s achievements shouldn’t discourage us, this world is so abundant that we can all win and we will all be brought up by each person’s success.
Wherever I see greatness I always think about people’s upbringing. How did they get to where they are?
What we see now is their success and their results. But what led them there? We all have marvelous stories waiting to be told. I’m far more interested to hear about how you got to where you are than to hear about your achievements.
How we achieve greatness is the great mystery that I want to unravel.
What leads people to their success, more times than not is failure. The lessons that come from the pain and the failure shape us. We don’t have to strive to do what others have done to succeed. We are meant to live out our own story in this world of infinite possibilities.
We are all one life expressing itself through infinite different faces.
We are meant to find our own unique story and reach our achievements our way.
Other’s stories of greatness exist to help but we do not have to be a replica to achieve what they have achieved.
Embrace your uniqueness and love your individuality.
Let yourself shine through everything you do. You came here to bring something amazing to this world, and it’s time to let it out.
I read the book “Will” by Will Smith and Mark Manson, and while I was reading a particular page and I wrote this in my notes, I thought it would be interesting to share with you:
No matter how successful you are, you will always have doubts.
When reading this page and seeing how Will is reflecting about how he didn’t think he could make it big, how he was having doubts. Here I am thinking “No he’s Will Smith if only he knew how successful he was going to be” but the thing is that he didn’t. And he had doubts and probably still does. But that didn’t stop him.
It’s easy to be certain of something when you know what’s going to happen, but what’s the fun in that?
I guess what I’m learning is what if we all have something amazing waiting for us and we just have to trust and be patient. We are so much more than we could ever imagine, you just have to let go and allow yourself to be who you are.
I share that note with you because Will Smith as we know him has achieved many things, becoming a very well-known actor. Not only in America but across the world.
When we think of someone like that it’s easy to imagine that they are unstoppable, unlimited, and kind of put them on a pedestal thinking that doubt and fear do not affect them.
But the truth is it affects all of us. In so many ways. The thing that gets you to where you want to be is going further than where you feel comfortable enough to stop. Pushing your limits and stretching the boundaries of your known reality.
That is the only way to rise above what you thought was possible. And the journey is not easy it is very uncomfortable. But it’s worth it.
If you want to do the extraordinary you’ve got to BE extraordinary. And you’ve got to get uncomfortable.
Your future is in your hands.
Until next time friends,
Camila Tracanelli
